I don't mind snow but inalso.never lived in a area that gets it on the regular it was always something we visited outside of it snowing a few times in tucson (I don't count mount lemon)
Pull that ice out of your nose and you won’t have to worry about it for a few weeks!I like the snow. Shoveling snow is OK, I just pace myself. I always come in when my beard starts to freeze. It is a tad annoying when my nose hairs start to freeze.
Somebody gave me a cloth Covid mask a while ago. Suppose I will have to find where I put it, when it gets nose-hairs start to freezing cold again.
Snow acts as an acoustic dampener. One thing I noticed some years ago and that is silence seems even more silent when there's snow about.....if that makes sense.

There is a skill to walking in snowy and icy conditions. Even I wipe out from time to time! When we get snow here (deep south) it's icy and crappy... We don't get the powdery stuff like colder places get.
Last time it snowed here I about broke my back crashing down the front walkway trying to take the trash out.
I've been on high alert anytime the ground is frozen since then.
When I was a kid, trying to walk on the sheet of ice that was our front yard, I remember my dad saying, "walk like a penguin, shuffle..." To this day, when I have to walk across the sheet of ice that covers everything down here when it gets cold... "walk like a penguin, shuffle shuffle" goes through my head. There is a skill to walking in snowy and icy conditions. Even I wipe out from time to time!
Yup. Shuffling is a good trick. At one time I had a pair of crampons I’d put on my boots if it got too icy out. When I was a kid, trying to walk on the sheet of ice that was our front yard, I remember my dad saying, "walk like a penguin, shuffle..."
