There were a few times I've been on WAYS and ended up grabbing a similar looking or exact same pipe. Unfortunately, I can't remember off the top of my head. However, currently, I am eyeing @hoosierpipeguy 's roof shingled looking Altinok. That is a great looking pipe.
In regards to similar tobacco tastes from the WAYS thread the two that jump out to me are @didimauw and @UncleRasta
His Peterson collection is indeed the stuff of legend.
Quite sorry to exacerbate the PAD, but one day you may step back and look at your collection and be pleased that you were led on by the treachery of others. Then again, you may step back and look at your bank account and not be very fond of us. In any case, congrats on the new purchase...I am anxious to see it! (I hope you're not into fountain pens, that can get MUCH worse).

Same here. If it's a good smoker, it's definitely worth it. I've gone off the deep end a couple of times and have no regrets.
And his meerschaum collection is the finest I've ever seen.
Two people come to mind fishnbanjo and weezel.
For me, it's the Rhodesian and britwood tastes of @ssjones and @sablebrush52 that match most closely with mine. There are others like @crashthegrey for old Kaywoodie pipes but it would take too long to come up with them all. I have eclectic tastes and go down pipe style/brand rabbit holes.
You're right, that is a bit outside of the price range I'm currently looking for. That said, it's a beautiful pipe, has the aesthetic shape I'm looking for, and the bowl size I'd want. If I were in a different financial position right now, I'd definitely consider it! :D
I noticed your link said it was strawberry wood? How similar are the qualities between briar and strawberry? Would you have to be particularly careful when smoking a pipe like that?
Briar and Strawberry are close cousins - very similar in smoking characteristics. I treat my strawberries the same as briar.

Every poster we have on here is my favorite poster and I love every pipe that is shown on ways. Regardless if it’s for me or not I admire it no differently. Were all a little weird or eccentric in some fashion so I’m honestly just thankful that we have a place to get together and display it. With the exception of 1 of my pipes a Peterson 309 I’d easily give away most of them to get someone else into our hobby or lifestyle and actually do that when I can. We have to pass this down to another to keep the flame going.
