I was a lurker for a while because everyone seemed more knowledgeable and had a better understanding of flavors than me. I was on a smaller, different site for a while but it seemed to become a private chat room for 8 or so people. Didn’t feel like a forum anymore. That’s why I started looking around and found this place, which I enjoy.
We're just a bunch of addicts enthusiasts who meet to share our addiction enthusiasm. Some of us do know a lot about the topics of smoking pipes and tobaccos, most of us know a modest amount, but we're all here to share and discover.

Interesting...
precisely and in our quest to keep people in their chairs getting fat and soft all that matters is the compulsion to watch. I am aiming for reviews that say I don't know if I like this but I can't stop.
Oh one idea is we go semi real and you can still be an artist. But you'll make the kind of art you do in real life but the actual production of the pieces will consist of you slapping some paint on a canvas like people assume Jackson Pollock did.... Then will have a whole episode where all you do is belabor and sweet out a painting and days latter it's a childs stick figure horsey. You know furrowed brow careful brush strokes... ETC. I don't know if you like that have your agent contact the Vatican, they're good at get messages to people.

I don't give a rat's ass what anyone thinks of me or my posts.

Yeah...right.
Would you say that includes lurkers?

I certainly care, from time to time, about what clients or higher ups think of me, to the extent that they do, when going into a review sesson, and also how I conduct myself at work.

Just because we're stuck with someone on the production who's a useless dildo doesn't meant I'm going to refer to him or her as such in an email. I'll be more discreet, such as "less than useful dildo" something like that, something less absolute, less actionable.

But, "people" with whom I've never had the least contact? I don't even think of them.

We'll first need to discuss and settle, points, residuals, royalties, front end, back end, and your flagellation schedule.
Also, because this is genius and I absolutely love it, I will be changing everything in it so that it becomes entirely unrecognizable. That's how it's done in tinsel town.

If you are a member, but don't sign in, and just scan the forums for new topics or something, are you listed as a lurker or guest ? In other words is it possible that say, 79 guests could actually be 70 members who didn't sign in and 9 guests ??? just curious.
If you're not signed in, you're a "guest". So, yes, a great many members who are checking out the forum might be listed as guests if they're not signed in. I don't always sign in, just when there's some topic about which I have a question or a bit of info to share.

As someone who lurked for quite a while before making an account I can't be more grateful for the multiple lifetimes worth of education the regular posters have contributed. I'd say there is a fair amount of lurkers like myself who are working through the archives on any topic they want to know more about. I think the regular posters might not grasp the sheet quantity of material there is available here .

Sincerely thank you all!
Which is why I pulled the best of Ken Barnes' posts on Charatan and Upshall, so that his unique information wouldn't get lost in the slipstream.
There are millions of posts and tens of thousands of threads, some of them actually worth the 1's and 0's from which they are composed.
