Some people eat breakfast and others don't. My folks always ate breakfast, so I do too. When I married my late wife, she could take it or leave it, but on the weekends when we ate together, I had to have breakfast, felt awful otherwise, needed that calorie blood-sugar surge plus coffee. Eventually, my wife ate breakfast, at least on weekends. My wife now eats breakfast because I fix it for her when I fix mine, and she definitely needs coffee. Some never eat breakfast. The idea of food before lunch makes them a little sick. How about some breakfast for you?

Ever since my gastric sleeve surgery I don't really anymore. I always mix Atkins protein shakes in my coffee now though. The "Dark Chocolate Royale" makes a fairly reasonable mocha latte when you get the ratio right.

If I do have breakfast it's now just a packet of instant maple brown sugar Cream Of Wheat. On the rare occasion we go out to breakfast with people it will be a scrambled egg and side of bacon. I just can't eat like I use to.

Now yes, otherwise I can't concentrate at work. Though during my youth less so but that is more due to sleeping in. Waking up close to lunch time

I like my coffee percolated. I make my wife's in a French press, which she likes. When I first started on Forums, I bragged about my love of percolated coffee, and one of the members said: "Dad, is that you?"

I almost never have breakfast. I just gradually stopped doing it a few years ago. I just have a lot of water and coffee.

Here
Weekdays, it's cereal, oats or the occasional toasted muffin with hot tea. About 80% on having breakfast.

One day of each weekend is waffles or pancakes with coffee and bacon with Mrs. Jaytex.

About once per month is a pilgrimage to Dan's Hamburgers, where the best biscuits and gravy within a reasonable distance can be had.

Yes I do. I'm not productive at work when I'm hungry.

I recently did an experiment. In months prior I generally ate a rather large piece of toast with butter and jam, at approximately 8:00am. I was always subsequently ravenously hungry at about 10:30 - 11:00am.

Lately I tried switching to an all-protein breakfast: a two-egg omelette with ham and cheddar. The net weight of both breakfasts is practically identical, however when I eat the omelette I'm well satisfied until 12:00 - 1:00pm. The reasons for this are obvious. I really enjoy the toast and jam (the Bonne Maman - Wild Blueberry Preserves) but I find that the carbohydrates in the morning are a shallow "quick fix" nutritionally. The omelette sustains me much longer.

Also, used to buy everything "economy." Now I've switched to organic eggs, a good local "off-the-bone" ham, and cheddar (a good, sharp supermarket brand). These little improvements have made a vast improvement in the quality of my omelettes. I've spent my whole life saving a few dollars on a carton of cheap eggs, and having mediocre omelettes.

mmmmmmm biscuits and gravy. My wife and I love making it with ground up moose brats and homemade buttermilk biscuits. Hard to beat, although I often immediately blast shit.

Worth it.

A small breakfast everyday. Usually two pieces of toast with jam or an egg sandwich and always three cups of hot green tea.

A paleo diet has me eating my largest meal during brunch. A typical menu includes chicken, sausage, or bacon along with sweet potatoes and raw veggies.

mso489, percolated coffee reminds me of those coffee commercials with the enhanced sound effects that showed the coffee hitting the glass knob on top.

Every day, for more years than I can remember, I have a massive bowl of cut fruit, sometimes with yoghurt on top. It's best and most varied when I'm in Brazil, but pretty good in N. America too with all of the berry and apple options.

I can't imagine a day without it.

Percolating coffee produces a much richer flavor profile. It's an incredible treat, especially while camping.

Sometimes. I’ll eat an English Muffin with apple butter for breakfast and always, and I mean ALWAYS, two cups of coffee.
