A bit more than a year in, with like 2 or 3 bowls per week I’m still in the wide (well...) category. Like 40 blends in jars, 10 tins I have not opened. I am yet to find out which blends are the ones I will go deeper on.
I have however carefully started to accumulate more tins of certain blends I really like; Squadron Leader, Director's Cut, Fayyum Kake, Maltese Falcon... but I am too nooby to allow myself to think I know what I will like a year from now. Hence the slow and careful accumulation.

I fall into the ‘both’ category. I like many different blends, but also cellared deep on some favorites.
Overall, I have a disorderly stash that doesn’t follow any rules. Also, I really have no clue how much there is in total weight. It’s pretty substantial for my needs, but I’ve never bothered to take inventory. ?‍♂️

I’ve got 54 blends in stock, but only more than 100g of two or three blends at the moment. For myself, the most enjoyable part of this hobby is trying many blends. I do try to keep at least 2oz/50g of favorites, but I’m constantly finding NEW favorites...so, I cellar wide.

Deeper than wide.Mostly Latakia mixtures , Va/ Per,Stronger Burley, ropes,,some straight Virginia, and a smattering of “Drug store” mixtures.I actually started “cellaring “ not as a way to age the tobacco, but more out of concern that this stuff may be outlawed during my lifetime, and I wanted to be stocked up.This is the truth.

I pretty much only smoke Va or Va/Per so while my selection is wide, my genre is narrow, but deep.

I thought we were supposed to do both. Did they cancel that rule? Shoot, to think of the money I've wasted! Well, if I've got to choose, I suppose I'll go for cellaring deep, like 4-5 lbs of only, say, 73 favorite blends.

I'm not yet at a stage to have any sort of cellar, I got 1.5 kilos of tobacco at the moment, no two tins of the same thing, the plan is to start deepening from the blends I really like. So the target is deep and narrow.

I'm in the "Wide" category and actually thought I had a fair amount of tobacco until I read this post. Just did a count and currently have 36 half-pint mason jars and 8 assorted tins. Only three of the jars are the same blend and only 2 tins are same (FMOT). Guess I need to get in gear and do some more buying!
