Everyone (with any common sense & decency) knows the CCP is tyrannicaly, patiently , methodically evil .
But I also know there are many decent Chinese people who are just trying to live their lives .

That point has been made a couple of times here. Worth repeating I suppose. But, those are not the Chinese being allowed, possibly even "encouraged" to trade internationally or travel outside the country. Your first sentence says it all.

I avoid buying anything from China, when at all possible. They are a sworn enemy of all of the western world, in word and in deed. Their human rights record is nauseating, enslaving and slaughtering countless numbers of their own citizens that they deem to be "enemies of the state". I know that it is ill-advised to conflate the average Chinese citizen with the actions of their government, but the government has their hand is so many industries, and the vast majority of their citizens are complicit in the governments actions.

The Chinese government is not perfect, and I believe there is no perfect government in the world. However, as a Chinese citizen, I can feel that life is improving and progressing every day, I am pround of myself and my living, and that's enough for me. I don't want to discuss politics and government; I just hope to see more sharing that lets us know which good pipes are worth paying attention to and which bad pipes to avoid. Whether they are made in China or any other country in the world, sharing the joy of pipe smoking is the true value of this forum. If we discuss politics, it will only create division and prevent us from sharing this joy.

Id like to create this thread to address a misconception that may or may not be prominent among this group of fine pipe smokers. It is regarding pipes of Chinese origin.
Now I do not doubt for one minute that there are some nasty, ugly, and maybe even unsafe Chinese pipes making their way over to America. However, this is not true when we are comparing these to artisan pipes from China. I have a particular example here that is quite honestly one of the most beautifully crafted pipes I have ever had the pleasure of holding, and the grain quality is Also undeniably near perfect. This is a Chinese made pipe from an artisan that goes by the name "Cai Dou". In all honesty, I don't know anything about the maker of this pipe, only that it is of Chinese origin, and I'll also admit that I was a little hesitant to pull the trigger when I saw "China" on its origin label. It's a bent pot/Eskimo shape and absolutely stunning in every way. Drilling 110% perfect.

This isn’t “politics”, it’s is a deliberate Chinese policy that destabilizes the entire world, by design, for the further enrichment of the privilaged few at the top of the food chain. As someone who can afford pipes and expensive Western tobacco, where do you fit in? Imprisoned dissident, or well-fed compliant? Your obfuscation belies and preceeds your answer.

Look, you have multiple reasons to choose why you like or dislike a pipe. But, if the one thing that you are going to harp on about is the politics, then I just have to close this thread.
China has some great pipes, and maybe they have some not so good pipes.
Lets keep politics OUT of the pipe forums.
