Hey Gents,
A while back I posted some pictures of a beat up Disney pipe I snagged off eBay. I was asking about whether you all thought it was a fixer. The consensus was that it looked fixable. I got a tip from a member that I should message Ed James about restoring it for me. Well, Ed just sent me some pictures of the restored pipe, and it looks amazing. The stem was replaced because it was firmly trapped in the shank and I ended up breaking it trying to get it loose. Take a look at the before and after shots:

I am very happy about this pipe, and can't wait to see it in person. Ed really does great work.

I hope it makes a good one for ya Randy! I guess you could say the finish was "brightened". The only stain applied was to the fills in an effort to disguise them somewhat.Otherwise all I did was hit it with my "Super Magic Eraser"( you won't find them at Walmart) buffed with white diamond and then waxed.

Are those Super Magic Erasers the new ones or just something of your own.
I got them from a friend in Florida who restores and sells tons of pipes. They are like an eraser with an abrasive mixed in and those I use leave a finish approx equal to 600 grit sandpaper. My friend get them from a local knife shop. They use them to remove rust from knife blades. Google "rust erasers". There are several types available but don't know what grits they are.
