I get the food thing, but ive never cared for the pipe thing.
I've done it plenty, and don't hate it, I just don't notice much difference.
And cigars are an absolute no for me. I know some guys like to DG cigars, but I'll toss them or won't light it if I don't have time.

Same here.
Cigars (when I bothered with them) were ok only if I’d cut off the burnt end and hadn’t mouthed the end badly.

I relight pipes. I'm all about not wasting good tobacco, but even I never relight a handmade cigar. They taste like ammonia.

As a matter of fact, I threw one away after just a few minutes on the 4th. I was grilling and the peanut gallery (my wife and mother) showed up out there and started complaining.

I hated to waste it, but I sure wasn't going to endure that ammonia taste to finish it later.

But people do this on purpose? That's wild.

I will relight a Black & Mild pipe tobacco cigar, but that's a different animal.

Ummm, in my experience, French Fries suck the very minute they get cold. The buns on the burgers turn to stone overnight. The meat might be ok, but I don't think there's any actual meat in it.
Yes, but pop those day old fries (especially the sit down restaurant variety) in the air fryer, and they’re better than crack cocaine. Especially with mayo.

I try to relight pipes if they’ve sat even for a couple days “for science” of course. But it is hit and miss for me. Really depends on the tobacco or how much is left in the bowl. But when it’s good, it’s good! Now, my best pipe smoking buddy thinks a pipe sitting for more than 15 minutes is fit for dumping out. I’ve tried to get him to see the light, but to no avail.

I really enjoy cold hamburgers the next day, as long as any floofy toppings are removed (no lettuce, tomato, or pickles). A standard McD’s hamburger cold from the fridge with just the ketchup, mustard, and onion bits just hits right for me in the morning.

Sometimes I’ll swing by the McD’s of an evening just to buy a few to put in the fridge. They get wrapped in a paper towel and go in a ziploc to keep them from getting soggy as they cool but prevent the bun from drying out completely.

Ha I thought I was the only one! I love a cold hamburger too. Reminds of when McDonalds was doing that crazy promo in the nineties and my dad would by sacks of hamburgers to put in the refrigerator for later.

I am done with trying to convince people that this or that is better than or worse than. Now, I just save the energy for folks that try to convince others that their "thing" or way is better, when I know different. Even then... sometimes it's just better to leave people in ignorance than to drag them kicking and screaming into a better world.

I was thinking about which tobaccos I enjoy even more when I finish the last of a bowl later on, sometimes even weeks later, and it got me to thinking...

Fried chicken is always better the next day, eaten cold, preferably while standing with the refrigerator door open in just boxers and washing it down with milk right out of the jug.
Chili and stews are always better the next day, after they've had time for all of the ingredients to meld together. reheated of course.
Even lasagna is better the next day.

Salads... not better.
hamburgers... not better.

What other things can you think of that are better the day after than fresh out of the oven or stove?
I like my fried chicken hot and cold, but hot and fresh my favorite. Cold always with milk, never out of the jug, lol.

Yep, chili and beef stew always better with more "age". Homemade soups the same.

I don't like my lasagne reheated - fresher the better with any pasta for me.

I love turkey on Thanksgiving but like it best cold, cut up on Friday and either as is or part of a sandwich with a healthy dose of kosher salt all over it at a minimum.

For me, most hot dishes are best fresh and not reheated or cold.

Golly, those were the glory days: 29¢ hamburgers on Thursday nights at my local McD's. I think that was the summer I ballooned up to a 2XL t-shirt. Still paying for it 30 years later!
