I like the Three Sails from them, nice VA shag, as well as the Ramback, which is a VA/KY shag blend not unlike G&H Dark Birdseye. Excellent value for the money IMO.
The only D&R blend I tried. Didn't care for it that much. How about this one? I think I might buy it just for the name and container, lmao.

It’s not like it was only him.I like D&R tobaccos but sometimes I wish Mark Ryan hadn't changed the labelling on his tobaccos from RYO to pipe tobacco to avoid the FDA regs at the time. It ended up bringing government on to our hobby.
Lots of people get blame for this, including and maybe especially Philip Morris.I like D&R tobaccos but sometimes I wish Mark Ryan hadn't changed the labelling on his tobaccos from RYO to pipe tobacco to avoid the FDA regs at the time. It ended up bringing government on to our hobby.
Yeah man you get a metric ass-ton in a pound as well. I packed really tight 4 Pint jars and 1 half pint jar off 1 pound. Normally you might get 2 pint jars off a normal LB.Thanks for the responses and suggestions everybody. I do like drier tobaccos with minimal casing, I'm a tightwad, and I also like a nice shag, so it sounds like I'll like D&R blends.
Sweet! That's what I like about the Low Country Natural blends in bulk from SP, you get twice as much actual tobacco compared to some of the gooey aro blends that are fully Sutliffed.Yeah man you get a metric ass-ton in a pound as well. Hi Jim - in your reviews for the Rimboche VaPers you recommend a rehydration to get the best flavour out of them - what method do you use to rehydrate these tobaccos?Listen to @chasingembers . He's telling the story correctly. Some of the blends are meant for cigarettes and pipes, but many of them are for pipes exclusively. The tobacco often is on the dry side because Mark Ryan doesn't believe people should pay for water weight. The Rimbouche VaPers are very high quality. I also recommend V.I.P., which is an aro-VaPer. I could recommend a lot of other D&R bends, too. High quality tobaccos at bargain prices.
I spritz distilled water very lightly in a baggie, and let it sit for a while. Light hydration only. Not much is needed.Hi Jim - in your reviews for the Rimboche VaPers you recommend a rehydration to get the best flavour out of them - what method do you use to rehydrate these tobaccos?
