Yep, I think it’s a bad idea. The mold has already activated, and it’s already everywhere in the tobacco.
Mold is everywhere. It’s not a problem until it activates.
If you are determined, then I can offer a treatment, which was given to me by a much respected blender and manufacturer and you can try it.
Get a tray and sterilize it. Lay out the affected tobacco on it.
Spray it down with pure alcohol, we’re not talking booze, pure alcohol. Spray it down and soak it.
Leave it alone until the alcohol has evaporated off, might be overnight or longer, then jar.
That might work.
Otherwise it’s just going to spread.
