The bamboo shank on #2 is a bit inelegant. Like thick ankles on a slender lass
Don't pay me any attention - just being hypercritical and finding something to criticise.

They are both beautiful
My 1st instinct was to call this a draw.

Voting for #1 even though I really wish the bowl didn't have that little point. To be totally honest, since that little point prevented an almost perfect pipe to my eye, I almost voted for #2 out of spite....but bamboo....

Interesting duo. I love spigots and don't particularly love bamboo.

However, I think the overall aesthetic of the bamboo one is better therefore-
TWO gets my vote.

I love both and was hard. Eventually I went with #1

Out of the six I have seen so far, I have a favorite which might win in the end.

Seems so. Against my usual habit, I'm posting in this thread before reading other comments. Wouldn't want to offer an adulterated opinion.

Number 1: it has a perfectly graceful progression through the stem to the bit. And the cant and proportions of the bowl is just right. Beautiful piece.

#1 The spine accent on the front of the bowl did it for me. Nice touch.
