I vote for #1- dead sexy.
The second pipe is really nice too but it just seems too short and squat to me. I like the bamboo but I’d prefer a slimmer shank.

Number one. That flare at the front of the pipe was a nice surprise with the birds eye view pic. I really like the silver work on the end of the stem. If the mount matched this, I would fly to Alaska and slap you repeatedly with a salmon until you sold it to me.

If I had to actually choose between these two pipes, I'd need more information than just pictures, such as weight, length, chamber dimensions, and stem material. I prefer the bowl shaping on #1, but I can't abide acrylic stems. Since I assume that's what you've got there, and I love bamboo as an accent, and I assume #2 weighs less than #1 and has a vulcanite stem, #2 would be my choice, but that's a tough one.

The tortoise shell stem on pipe #1 is actually bakelite. It is 5.4 inches and weighs 32 grams, for what it's worth. The second is a hare under 5 inches and weights 22 grams.

I loved the jutting bow on this one as well, makes it feel even more "nautical" than a cutty already does!

Very tough choice...but I'm going to have to go with #2 because I like spigots generally, but for some reason that I cannot explain it just doesn't look right to me on a cutty shape.

I don't fancy bamboo on a pipe, but more importantly, the bowl on #2 flares out without ever really coming back in -- really more like a dublin. Whereas #1 curves back in, like the clays of some periods.

And the stem and spigot look super trad. I love it.
