Cutty Madness. Match 2.

For match number 2 in the first round of Cutty Madness we have a wonderfully craggy blonde blast with stabilized birch shank extension and warthog tusk accent ring, facing off against a classic cross-cut tan blast with a shank extension of cow horn and an army mount stem. This is a much more difficult choice than the first match...those are both fantastic, but I have to go with #1...that thing is awesome.

#2 gets my vote. I agree, a bit more difficult to choose, but I like the proportions of #2 much better..... looks like it would just fit in the hand perfectly. And..... for ME, I don't much care for white accents on pipes..... (unless it's a white dot on the stem!)

Hard choice though. I really like the colour and material combination in the first pipe but the second pipe has better proportions and blast.

The birch thing on the first one is amazing, but the flow and canted bowl of the second is simply classic. I vote for the second.

I’m going with #2
They are both beautiful but I really like the Army mount on the second pipe and if the bowl were canted on the first one it would be a more difficult decision.

The first one reminds me of peanut brittle. It's interesting and I like it.

But, I'm going to go with the second pipe—I really like the way the spiderweb grain works with the shape, and the ferrule and stem remind me of Savinelli Nonpareil pipes, which seems like a nod to a classic design and melds that with the classic cutty to create something wholly new.
