I'm getting a chuckle out of this because your link was posted here about 15 minutes before I got the "insider" mailing list notice from SP! Maybe that's just when my email updated and it was sitting in my mailbox, lol. Not complaining, it was still available there at 6:30 a.m. - I picked up some just because it is festive and I may send a tin to my Secret Santa victim - if he doesn't like it he'll have a jolly tin to store stuff in.

I generally agree but not sure what more time will add in this particular case given the ages of the Virginia and Perique used in the blend.

Very interesting rabbit hole right there. The individual tobaccos can age to a plateau, maintain it for a time (depending on ambient conditions), and then will degrade into weak tea leaf. When you marry aged tobaccos together, however, does that set in motion a complex process the goes on for some time, where the blend ages and extends the life of the constituent tobaccos?
