oh man playing people at half speed is so fun. Basically you can instantly hear how they'd sound if they got really drunk. Also playing the chipmunks at half speed is great too. They sound like three bored men singing slowly.

I was lucky enough to catch 10,000 Maniacs in about 1981, Paradiso, Amsterdam. Very impressive band, unique voice.

I discovered that function while trying to find a proper version of He Who Gets Slapped starring Lon Chaney.
It would probably ruin most anything but playing You Can't Catch Me at a reduced speed or Come Together at a faster rate (presumably) makes the duplication obvious to anyone.

Want to hear "Always on My Mind" as it was intended. A friend of mine, now, sadly, deceased wrote it. So look up Wayne Carson. He's not the singer Willie is nor, the star Elvis was but, he knew what he wrote and how he wanted it phrased. A writer may not be a commercial level singer but, he does know his vision. The Letter and Soul Deep also come across different than the A&R folks turned out as hits. But, "mailbox money" or, residuals put the food on the table..

Guy Clark and Townes Van Zant are also guys known for mostly for their writing but, they could interpret their stuff in the way they intended. A&R foks want a commercial sound. Writers want to impart feelings, often deep feelings.
