Coolest place you've ever smoked your pipe?

Walking the streets of Rome, I found a pipe/tobacco shop...picked

up a Brebbia Arthur smooth (now going on 10+ years ago) and sitting

on a garden terrace atop my Hotel (about a block from the Spanish steps)

overlooking the city drinking some Brunello di Montalcino
....it just doesn't get any cooler for me ;-)

When I was stationed at Kaneohe MCAS I used to walk down to Pyramid Rock (one of the beaches aboard the base) after work and find a nice secluded place to smoke my pipe, late at night. The MPs at first would shake me down because they assumed I was smoking "Pakololo" (one of the local cash crops. :D ) But, after a while they would come by just to shoot the breeze, (which was very nice that time of night) and chill... No pictures, because it was a little tough to take pictures between midnight and two in the morning.

Walking the French Quarter in the early morning when the sky is still black, after all the tourists have gone to bed, listening to the quiet. I was smoking Black House in my trusty Peterson billiard. It's those times when the walls come down and the brain seems to find another gear and work overtime with ideas, observations, and reflections. It was a hell of a moment.

Hmm well the week I spent in New Orleans I spent it in the French quarter I would wake up at 5:30am and run the French quarter for about 3 miles then I'd go back to the hotel shower and then go to cafe de monde and have an iced coffee or three and smoke my pipe or a cigar.

With my brother and a former youth director. Due to inadequate clothing for the weather, I was so cold I was shaking, but it was fun to sit around a picknic table and share old stories.

Coolest place so far? Front porch while I helped my wife enjoy her first pipe. A MM corncob with Lane BCA for her and a Medico full of a mix of OTC's and some Lat for me. She did better her first time than I did.

Right now for me would be hiding outside in the trees doing some white wing hunting in the early hours of the morning, all you hear is the wind passing through the leaves and nothing else. Also towards the evening just when the sun is about to go down and I'm still at the ranch enjoy enjoying the cool breeze.

Back when I first started smoking a pipe my grandfather and I went walking the Hillside cemetary near Chicago looking for gangsters gravesites and stopped here for a rest. I sat on the left side and my gramps sat on the right side, both enjoying a bowl.
