Growing up, I internalised the over-the-fence "good mornin'" expectations, but that's all evaporated these days. Now, it doesn't matter how quiet & unassuming one remains, there are others whose main objective seems to be intrusion into just about anything. One pleasant solution I've discovered is owning 640 contiguous, fenced acres & building one's residence as close to the centre as possible.
Good solution!

What do you grow, or feed?

I don't plant anything really. The entire area is pasture with chestnut trees (yep, they still grow naturally), amid other deciduous & conifers with heaps of rye grass & clover as a carpet. The land is moderately rolling hills with a creek running through the northern third. It's my little corner of serenity with a good pipe & delicious English blend as a dessert. Thanks very much for asking!

Fun fact not me with the phone. I hate the phone. If you have a job that involves answering phones a lot. You'll hate talking on the phone. With the phone though people can get shy really fast. I remember reading one of those "really you needed a study to prove this" that stated people act more sadistic online because basically you can't punch them, yell at them, or even just give them the dirty looks. Though ever met someone that spends so much time online, they're actually shocked to find out how much harder it is in real life to say certain things to people?
Mike Tyson might agree:

I didn't wake up today thinking I'd agree with Mike Tyson, but that's precisely what's happening.
Side note I knew this guy who insisted he wasn't a dick online because of the safety of it and that's just how he is. Ran into him on the street and thought I'll try to argue with him about the stuff he always goes out of his way to argue about online. Dude didn't call me one name and acted totally reasonable and really only off thing was that trying to pull oneself into their own chest cavity posture. You'd hate that guy by the way, he's just that kind of guy.

and most under 60 too.
I hear ya, what's strange to me is that the younger dare I say "men" who have come to work for me or to propose an offer seem to completely lack the social skills to read hyper-obvious cues. I had a guy PM me on Instagram when I was running a shop and he worded it as if he wanted to know about the backend of the business in general. I thought well sure I can gab about it to him and maybe give him some insight so I met him for lunch. He, as it turns out wanted to sell me on the idea of a website and he had this whole spiel already memorized and practiced (probably in front of a mirror) and just ran with it though I had a look on my face of total indignation the entire time. He just kept talking and talking, finally, I said I have absolutely no interest in a website as Instagram was already bringing me more business than I could handle and that I thought I was doing him a favor by meeting him in the first place. He just sat there all rabbit in the headlights, mouth agape. I said "Young man, this is the part in the youtube video where you stand up slowly, bow sheepishly, extend a hand, and say I'm sorry Sir it appears I have wasted your time entirely, then you turn around and go. It was the most surreal experience I have ever had with an Internet-turned-face-to-face meeting. Then I noticed the same thing with younger Tradesman, just no social/ business sense at all, and no coping skills with any kind of criticism whatsoever, don't even get me started on ballbusting, I've seen these guys walk off a job site practically in tears at the slightest hint of workplace hazing.
I dunno I guess I'm gonna go outside and yell at a cloud now. ;)
