Cleaned and Sterilized - Right!

I was browsing the 'Bay this morning, looking for nothing in particular, when an interesting old pipe caught my eye. The seller boldly stated it is "cleaned and sterilized, ready to smoke!" I have a different opinion after view this photo:

Does he really think that is clean, let alone sterile? Boy, oh, boy, oh …

LOL Greg. After seeing that picture, I don't think I'd ever eat at that man's house. Can you imagine what his fridge would look like if that is "clean and sterilized"?

Seems a lot of sellers think only the outside needs to be cleaned and sterilized in order to smoke.

I have seen this all too often with supposive " clean estate pipes ".

Many of the ebay sellers do not know the meaning of a " clean pipe ".

Mind you, I have noticed that they are jacking up the prices of their " clean pipes " lately.

Crap, I just listed a Barbi using this line... Maybe I should remove the phrase for fear of disbelief? I mean, it really is clean, but do you think saying so helps or hurts?

I just got this Ropp estate from the Bay. It was advertised as cleaned and ready to smoke. I tested it with swabs and pipe cleaners and sure enough they came out lily white!

The scary thing about those medicos is that someone was smoking them continuously until they got to that point. Even knowing nothing about pipes you would thing someone would be temped to gouge out the cake with a knife or screwdriver when in got to half that so they could fit more tobacco into them.

This little Comoy's bulldog I picked up a couple of months was also described as "clean and ready to smoke." LOL
