You wrote "I can't imagine where you're at with fungi growing on things".I didn't ask you a question, sorry for the confusion.
You're right, I should have clarified that I couldn't imagine the possibility of fungus growing on my boots, or any other thing that you described. I just assumed you were describing the area where you lived. Not meaning that I think you have fungus on your boots haha. But the possibiliies of the "Big Wet".You wrote "I can't imagine where you're at with fungi growing on things".
No fungi growing here.
The answer is in what I wrote
Don't despair, my friend. Tomorrow is another day.yeah no luck on firing my pipes. I pretty much give up on all pipes and tobacco in general (and probably all of life also).
You could always cover the bowl with your thumb and flick the stem downwards to get rid of some of that moisture.so for these, I might have no choice but to use pipe cleaners. but in the meantime I'll always try to be finding ways to avoid that.
Even though theyre not designed for them you know.
well, but even then that does not stop moisture from collecting on the bottom.
Maybe it is Normal and OK for moisture, a Little moisture to be on the bottom?
But I dont think so. That's why I tried drying it with a candle, with little to no help.
yeah, one of the videos I posted suggested that. You could always cover the bowl with your thumb and flick the stem downwards to get rid of some of that moisture.
There is really no way to avoid moisture when smoking a pipe. There's things you can do to reduce it, but it's going to be there unfortunately.yeah, one of the videos I posted suggested that.
@condorlover1 I'm currently smoking Condor Ready Rubbed in a Pollock clay pipe...I used to buy my pipes in a box of about 100 at a time from Gordon Pollock of Stott Street, Manchester as I would go through that number in a month between myself and my friends. Most looked like the pictures in #116 with a few having a horses hoof and a couple of the Manchester Ship Canal and Gladstone and Jockey figurals.
@TheSt0rm I've lost count of how many clays I've broken...That's OK. One of my pipes broke while I was trying to ash it.
Next time I wont do that.
I still have one left soaking in the salt water.
@TheSt0rm I'll have to try the salt water ? method...I'm now soaking one of my pipes in salty water... I might have put too much salt lol.
I put Mediterrenean salt crystals.. until they dont dissolve anymore. After that I'll do some rinses before drying.
Oh yeah and I Hope the salt crystals are still good, because my AC went out for a week so it was humid in here.
well I was just thinking, if anything it might only really work for a 'fresh' clay pipe.. like the guy did in the video. I did it after I already used it, so I dont know how it would be.. I'm going to give it another night to dry thoroughly before I try it.@TheSt0rm I'll have to try the salt water ? method...
