As for my personal taste/signature wear, heck who wears these hats ? anymore?
Uh-oh, I think I like them.?
The consideration of tobacco pipes as an accessory of ones attire made sense when much pipe smoking was done in public, at social events, on the commuter train platform, at the workplace, and anywhere around town. I admit to stealing a look at myself with a pipe if I happen by the mirror, but I would never think of it in selecting a pipe to purchase. I tend toward the traditional shapes and moderate sizes anyway. But back in the 1950's, a pipe was a statement worthy of careful consideration. Smoking accouterments were trademarks, as in World War II when leaders had specific ones -- Churchill's cigars, Stalin's pipes, FDR's cigarette holders, MacArthur's tall corn cob pipe, and so on.
Arrgh... We got us a new prospect!

I've never heard of her before, she's cute. Any idea who made the pipe in this photo? Heavy sandblasts are really catching my eye these days.
Personally- I couldn’t care less if my socks match, not to mention whether or not my pipe makes me look like a thumb. Quality, good engineering, beauty and palm feel are what I look for.
You bet! ?Is that... a pith helmet?
Here you go, Skipper: Pith Helmets at Village Hat Shop (also PithHelmets.com) - https://www.villagehatshop.com/category/84/1/pith-helmets.htmlIf I had a pith helmet I would likely wear it just to embarrass my daughters.
Thanks crawdad. ?I don’t think you could have said it any better!
It's a David Huber, Mary likes the artisan pieces.Castillo would be my bet..
Yup.
I wonder if anyone else thinks that subconscious selection also plays a part in the pipes we favor.

I had some insightful remark but forgot what it was.
