In the YouTube pipe smoking community (which I am apart of), there exists a user named JoffreTheGiant who, along with a friend, created a blend called "chocolate manhood." He pitched the idea to his tobacconist in the Spartanburg, SC area, and they picked it up. Unless you want to call up Boda Pipes in Spartanburg and order from the shop, you can't get this blend.
However, I had smoked some of the real stuff from Spartanburg, and was able to recreate it very simply!
The mixture calls for 1 part straight latakia, 2 parts black cavendish (perhaps vanilla or chocolate flavored).
I made a trip to my local tobacconist and had some mixed using what I believe was McClelland's blending latakia, and a black cav aro called "Dark chocolate."
IT. IS. WONDERFUL: the dominant taste is a dry, sweet coco/chocolate/espresso with a smoky overtone taste that is absolutely lovely. It smokes well, thanks to the latakia. It has quickly turned into a "go-to" for me, and the best part is the price: around $7 for my three ounces (typical B&M bulk prices).
I highly recommend trying this blend, especially if you like aromatics (guess this would be an arominglish), and even if you like latakia mixtures as well. I definitely think that the next direction of aro mixtures are in this new breed of latakia infused aros (such as Sillem's black).
Enjoy,

Cheers!

Huh, intriguing. I liked SG's Chocolate Flake a lot, I may have to give this a shot.

Yes the name is a bit striking, but I did not name the blend. Chocolate Manhood is the name the "official" blend goes by, but call it whatever you want, it is gooooood, in my opinion that is :puffy:

wow, that is absurd. Yes, you can find an oz of bulk for $2.50 - $3.50 or so (I live in a mid sized city).

Mid sized city? What state do you live in?
I have only tried one chocolate tobacco. Mac Baren Chocolate and Honey I less than loved it but kept the tin around just in case I might change my mind some day. I am working my way threw some Virginia blends and then found I like burley. I am having a hard time working threw the tobacco I have before I buy more. Such problems I have. :puffy:

I just enjoyed some chocolate manhood that I received as a gift (thank you @JoffreTheGiant) and would agree with jallen49 it is a wonderful blend that surprised me. I did not pick up any of the sweet chocolate, more dry cocoa and coffee/espresso. I was also pleasantly surprised at how cool it smoked - will keep this on hand for sure!

Yeah... I'm with both Lawrence and Irish on this one.

Not big into chocolate to begin with and to top it off not an aro smoker... So this ones a double whammy

To Jud, Lawrence, Irish, and all the other naysayers, to you I say, don't write it off until you've tried it. I'm not talking about this particular blend, but Two Friends English Chocolate is a wonderful blend that Craig Tarler and Greg Pease came up with and it is (IMO) NOT your typical aromatic mixed with Latakia. It is really a VA base with Latakia and some cocoa added. This is not a Hershey's bar chocolate, more like a slight cacao note while smokingwith the sweet, VA hinting throughout the bowl. A very creamy and rich smoke. For me it also had enough of a Nic-hit that I must eat before I smoke it. But since I'm a light-weight, YMMV.
I'm intrigued by this blend and now I can add yet ANOTHER blend to the To-Try list... Thanks.

I prefer my flakes and Lat blends. If I smoke an aromatic blend, I don't mind a good chocolate blend like No-Bite-Delight from Boswells. As far as SG Chocolate flake, I can taste the Lat but not the chocolate.
