Never heard of it. Perhaps it's a title for those people who scan the cosmos with high powered telescopes looking for asteroids on a collision course. Either that, or they're administering colonics for the purpose of dislodging impacted fecal matter. The title sounds like impacted fecal matter, quite frankly. If he were still alive, George Carlin would have a field day with it, for sure.

Sounds like the corporate equivalent of being an "influencer". When did humanity sink so low that being an "influencer" is a badge of prestige?
My sentiments exactly. The only influencing I want to do is on my own children and family. And by "influencing" I only mean setting a good example and living my life to a standard that I hope they embrace and emulate. It's easier to influence others by the content of my character than by words, and certainly much more so than by posting something to Fartbook or shilling some product or philosophy.

It's been a long, slow slide into oblivion.

To me, a Chief Impact Officer sounds like someone - otherwise unemployable - who is related to company leadership. Perhaps a wayward nephew whose acceptance and matriculation through an Ivy League school was greased with generous donations?

"Perfect for an unemployed helicopter pilot with a family to support."

Warren, I think you are confusing him with his older half brother.

Nice to see some forum members read the news :)

Jay.

If you have ever worked for a company with a bosses son who was a moron but had to be given a job thats pretty much it. I had a job right out of college as an electrician at a factory. The owner had built the factory up from his garage to a multimillion dollar company. He had several sons most were good and contributed but there was one that was just a burn out. His job was to keep the "Nut and Bolt Room" clean

"In 2012 he actually did qualify as an Apache helo pilot and gunner and did a tour in Afghanistan as such."

Good point Captain, I mistakenly thought Warren was referring to William being a copter pilot for the rescue services......my bad.....hair shirt for one whole week :(

Regards,

Jay.
Heck, the only reason I know is I had a former boss who was a Brit and obsessed with the royal family. ?
