Dates for the 2020 show?
If you don’t stay there, you could go to the banquet or buy a few drinks in the tent.

That's great news, Craig. As others have said, thanks for the frank and thorough overview of how the show finances work. I'm very encouraged by the expressed willingness by attendees to help by patronizing the hotel when armed with an understanding of the impact on the show. The show is financially stable because we have met our requirements with Pheasant Run this year and every year.
True.I've heard that the Vegas show is grappling with many of the same issues that the Chicago show is dealing with too.
Also correct. Using the show's code takes about 30% off the cost of a room. And the Palace Station Hotel has undergone a major renovation, so the rooms are pretty nice. They run a shuttle from the airport hourly so it's easy to get to the hotel. In Vegas it's important to not only stay at Palace Station but to book the room using the show's link. Or so I've heard.
Same here! I enjoyed it very much, and have committed to do the 33 hour commute from Australia again in 2020. All booked!Excellent post @porshcigar!
I just booked my room for next year after reading your comments
Cheers, Craig. I very much enjoyed meeting you too, mate. Really enjoyed your company and having a chat! You picked up a beauty of a pipe early - what a great way to start the 2019 show! I'll try start 2020 in the same fashion, now that I've learnt the ropes! It was fantastic meeting you and Jeremiah, Rob! Looking forward to next year!
Indeed, that's Pete Rothenberg, or as we call him, Big Pete and he is on the forum here as sable mentioned. If you have any problem contacting him, let me know.Greeneyes, yes, his name is Pete. The last name escapes me at the moment. He's from NYC and was selling hundreds of British pipes -- Loewe, BBB, GBD, Sasieni, Upshall, and Dunhill. I'd suggest writing Louis Carbone, President of the New York Pipe club at president@newyorkpipeclub.org. I'll bet he can put you in touch.
