There was a shop in Texas that had a match. I couldn't get Nightcap, and was desperate enough to get some. Was much better than Nightcap.

This might be what it was, I've never tried it though:

K&K makes the Charatans.
Sutliff, owned by Mac Baren's, is the US importer for the Charatans!
K&K also makes McConnells
My question is whether K&K is stuffing the same thing into the Charatan and McConnell Dunhill clone tins.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the Charatan blends were announced before Peterson took over the production of the Dunhill blends. The Charatan mixture have been available in the UK for a while now. I haven't tried any myself but they are surreptitiously marketed as Dunhill exact copies.

I tried most of RMC/Charatan. Both K&K series are not Peterson/Dunhill clones. RMC Heritage, however, much closer to STG version than Charatan.
