I had 2 out once. Shot of novocaine... and I opted for laughing gas so I could catch a buzz (what can I say) they just popped right out, only bled a bit, two twinges of pain after the fact, no pills.. was super easy..

Yeah, I had a wisdom tooth pulled a couple weeks ago by my awesome new dentist. One novocaine shot, and a couple tylenols, easy peasy, didn't even hurt. If your guy (or gal) has good hands and the right gear, it's no big deal. Last time I had a tooth pulled, the guy sucked. He had to bust out a freaking mallet and chisel, and it was a total bloodbath. At least he gave me a fistful of highly addictive opiates when he got done butchering my mouth.
