I'm a dyed-in-the-wool mariner's rigging knife kind of guy. A sheep's foot blade, locking marlin spike, and integral shackle wrench is my ideal multi-tool.

I never owned a Case knife I know they are in Bradford, Pennsylvania by a the same company that owns Zippo. My personal daily carry knife a Victorinox Swiss Army my dad gave me when I turned sixteen. I also have my Grandfathers Victorinox knife he carried.

Check out GEC, Great Eastern Cutlery, for traditional pocket knives. Very high quality.

I own a few case knives and like them very much, but I have to agree with bluegrassbrian. GEC is by far my favorite. I love both their Northfield line and the more economical (kind of) Tidioute line. Both are high carbon steel and just great knives. Case ar great too though. Very classy.

I've admired the Case knives from a distance, but have never owned one. Outside of work I am never without my Leatherman Wave. I swear by that tool for every day carry. When I'm at work I have my SOG multi-tool, SOG seal pup elite and a small Leatherman folding blade.I've used and carried several other brands and styles over the years but these are the ones that work the best for me right now.

I have a handful of Case pocket knives, that belonged to my father. This is a favorite canoe shape.

Here's a Case knife he found in Germany. We move into Army housing and they supplied the furniture. He found this in a sofa, I must have been around 10 years old. It was rusted shut and it didn't look like it was worth anything when he showed it to us. He was pretty frugal, I don't think that he would have spent Case money on a pocket knife, so I remember him being quite pleased with himself for finding this one. He took it to the base shop, cleaned it up and it became his every-day carry.
Below is a Case XX kitchen knife that I found at a junk store 15 or so years back. Its on my desk as a letter/pipe box opener and in the summer, it does double duty as a crab knife. (if you live in Maryland, you need a crab knife!)
