Captan Black Grape Discontinued!

I saw that captan lack grape has been discontinued not that it’s my favorite or the other captan black flavors for that matter. I wonder if the others are on the chopping block. Just a little disconcerting to see any blends going away. Has anyone heard or have any info on this?

Before Lane released Capt. Black Grape, they sent me several prototypes to share with fellow members of the Lehigh Valley Pipe Club. I swear to you, the box that they mailed me f’n ghosted my mailbox. In fact, I could smell it before I opened the door. The club was unanimous in it’s revulsion towards the blend. I seem to remember having to get a permit from the E.P.A. before I disposed of it.

Lane makes the equivalent of their Captain Black line such as 1Q, RLP-6, MV-1000 etc. I hope their not discontinued because their better than the Captain Black line.

You can make the grape flavour at home, just put one fresh grape into every single jar in your cellar and leave it for 6 months.

I wanted a pouch to try and looked a few months ago but no luck. Pouches were already gone by then, just tubs and I don't need that much. Haven't checked recently but I would be surprised if they were back in stock. Missed my chance to try it. Wish I could have but it's like a lot of the tobaccos I missed. Such is life.

Oh I can confirm they still make grape blunts if you really feel a need for grape flavored tobacco.

You can make the grape flavour at home, just put one fresh grape into every single jar in your cellar and leave it for 6 months.

Or just buy Visions of Celephäis. It's a much stronger grape aromatic than CBG.

I just found several vendors that have it in stock. Pouches and 12 oz. tins.

People on certain boards have been claiming that this was discontinued for a year or more.

If you believe all the BS you read on the Interwebs, then I've got a bridge for sale...

While certain vendors may have decided not to carry a particular product, doesn't mean it has been discontinued. They may have decided not to carry it because it does not meet their par level, or any number of reasons. Or the manufacturer has redirected distribution to a different market segment. And unless you have an in with the marketing dept. at STG, most people probably don't have a clue as to what blends are being discontinued.
