Can’t Take Them All (Tobacco Edition)

Before getting to the tobacco I want to say thank you for all of the well wishes and generous offers to keep me well stocked for my future in Bulgaria. Since the last post I received my visa and will travel to Bulgaria to secure the necessary documents for my family on September 1st. Things are close!

Okay, now getting to the tobacco I intend on bringing. I can bring in 250g at a time. Well, each person 17 or older can bring 250g, so my wife will have some in her luggage as well. I have to take a solo trip to secure documents for the family and then will return for the family. All together I can legally bring 750g.

I've only had one tin from 1999. Got it for $10. It's an incredible sweet Virginia flake.

Pebblecut is my all time favorite tobacco. I have 10 tins but wish I had put away far more!

Will be working with a local church, as well as serving a ministry that helps rescue women/girls out of sex trafficking.

Nah, Bulgaria isn't all that bad. Just post-Soviet. Lots of corruption but great citizens. You learn the ropes pretty quickly and when you make a real friend there, they are a friend for life.

The people are great but it definitely takes time to build trust.

Did I do this I'd shoot the traffickers first and ask questions later. Such vermin!

This is truth. Another holdover from Soviet times. It can literally take years. When that trust is built though, it is solid.

I venture out every now and again but Va/Vaper’s are my sweet spot for sure.

So you will try to move everything piecemeal? It's tedious but also safe. I am im the same boat by the way way, only difference is I am moving to Switzerland which has aabundant and cheap, great pipe tobacco.

Yes, I will try and take the piecemeal approach. I put together lots of tobacco, each one 250g, and put them in a tote at my buddy's house here in the states. Anytime someone comes to visit us I'll have them grab one and bring it with them.

Bulgaria. Only heard about in movies. Hope it's peaceful there. I'm sure bribe will open a lot of doors. But I think that's not in your line. Sounds like a good deed will be done! Thanks for saving those women. And be careful.

It’s a beautiful place and very peaceful. I feel safer there than in Atlanta.
