I find it is a hassle packing everything I need for a pipe, but I do regret not packing and preparing for a smoke....nothing like a campfire and a good smoke....sitting around a fire drinking beer and building a bonfire with a pipe

What hassle? A pipe, a blend you enjoy, tamp with your fingers, clean with your pocket knife. Perhaps a few pipe cleaners and you should be good to go for a week.
Well I have alot more to worry about than a pipe....even though I enjoy a pipe...maybe someday that will be my first priority

God....all I want to do is sit by a fire...drink a couple of beers,have a pipe,and just chill....
I don't get your post. You could put a cob, lighter and a tin of tobacco in your pocket. Would take less than 30 seconds. You must not want to smoke by the fire very badly.
A pipe, tobacco, and a lighter in a pocket, and off you go.
Lighten up Rossi most of us only need a tent, fishing rod a couple of pans, coffee pot cups and utensils, beer cooler, lighter pipe and tobacco to enjoy a camping trip.
Get a little bag that is already prepared with a bic, cleaners, a pipe tool. Then throw in a pipe, a pouch or tin…then off you go. I have enough pipes that a cheaper pipe is always in the bag. 2 minutes and its ready for a trip.
I have a love hate thing with camping.
It's great in my head.
In practice it is spoiled by people, ants, rain, uncomfortable bed, poor toilets, loud music, migraine.

After doing the Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia sections of the Appalachian Trail and a lot of camping compliments of the US Army the closest to camping I will do is the Hilton
However I will not and did not camp without Coffee a Cigar or a Pipe at anytime. A 50 gram tin and a Peterson doesn’t take up space or weight and it does a lot for morale even if you’re still sore afterwards.
The added bonus is it makes you believe it’s keeping the mosquitoes at bay although it really doesn’t !

My son gave me a pouch similar to this one that has pockets for a pipe, tobacco a tool & pipe cleaners. There are many like this that would easily solve your problem.

After years of camping with only what I could carry comfortably on a horse, I tend to embrace the more minimalistic approach. Although, like @PaulRVA at my current post in life, I like a few comforts. But that said, packing for camping was not that hard, back in the day.
And as far as a pipe, I was nearly grown before I ever saw a tamper, reamer, etc. My dad just used his index finger and a pocket knife.
Simple is always better in the long run.

I say old sport, not enjoying a pipe and a flask of single malt Irish or beer with your while pals around a campfire after a day afield or on the water is simply not done.

Where's the issue?
I have the exact opposite issue.
My wife wants to sit around a fire 37 times a week. I want to 0 to 1 times a week. Luckily she has friends who like booze and fire.
But, instead of a tent, the friends usually end up in our house!!
I HAVE been encouraging fires lately. We have a few cords of wood that really need to be burned up before it rots.
