Another member on the forum and I bought out an estate lot and we ended with 53 pipes from this carver. These are some of the most bizarre looking pipes Ive ever seen. I could find next to no information on this carver, other than that he is from the Midwest. The gentleman (Paul) who was selling the pipes was obsessed with Mock's Freehands. Paul told us this guy was killed by a hitch hiker and pretty much faded from the pipe community's memory. Somehow Paul ended up with several of Mock's pipes. Not sure the death is a true story but would love to hear from anyone who knows about Mock or owns one of his pipes. I will include a few pics from the collection. He seemed to have a theme to many of his pipes, several of them resemble animals. The huge pipe was titled "The Bridge". and it is hands down 3 x the size of the largest pipe I've ever seen.
