I hate to be Mr Obvious but why don't you just order ahead a week or two and even consider building a modest cellar? What am I missing? A tin of two of tobacco may be larger than a pen knife but likely 1/10th or less of the cost. Where would the main come from to pay for the overnight shipping?

If you want, tell me your brands, I'll stock them and give you free overnight shipping. Cost per tin will be $50. There, problem solved.
I’m already on it. I think maybe my knife retailer has a contract with the mail because the next day shipping applies no matter the cost of the blade. I put in a tobacco order yesterday that should last me til New Years. Shame no ones getting a present this year though.

As most other posters have suggested, SP and Tobacco Pipes are the two very best at fast and consistent service. They are the equal of one another in great customer service. Why not go to one of their sites (or both and and have a postal race) and place an order for bulk tobacco in an amount which meets or exceeds the amount for free shipping. This will last for quite a while. Then, sit back and plan a more strategic plan for ordering tinned tobaccos that you wish to try without anxiety or worry.
