Although I could always either buy a cobb if I needed a pipe or throw one together when I was in a place where none were to be found. However, I could never buy a pipe when I couldn't. I cannot (seriously) wait to learn how that's done.I agree. Buy tobacco while you can and pipes when you can't.
"Not the sweet, new grass with flowers is this harvesting of mine; Not the upland clover bloom..."Vauens use filters. 9 mm filters. If you're anti-filters, that narrows down your choice.
"...but the rowen mixed with weeds,"Not the sweet, new grass with flowers is this harvesting of mine; Not the upland clover bloom..."
I find this saying quite interesting. Unfortunately, I don't have a clue as to its meaning. Could you explain it in a more understandable way?
My (unasked for) advice to Henry is that he changes whatever he's smoking and take 500mg of Thorazine"...but the rowen mixed with weeds,
tangled tuft from marsh and meads,
where the poppy drops its seeds,
in the silence and the gloom."

My Vauen which was like 100 and some change is a champ of a pipe. And I like the way they just tend to add a little bit of flair to traditional shapes.Hello..? Pipe World. As you see from the title it's time for a new pipe ?. I want to talk about Brands of pipes. I know I know it's probably been discussed before but since I'm new to the pipe world I would like your guy's opinion. I have a few Savinelli's, A couple of Chacom's, Peterson and J.M.Boswell I have not smoke yet. So I want something different to try out. I got about $150 to spend on my next pipe. So these are the brands I'm considering 1.Vauen. 2. Stanwell 3. Briar Works. 4. Rattray's. Or brand you guys have in mind in that price range. Let me know thanks

Man, really. Let's get back to pipes: better living through NATURAL chemistry."Plain English: my life sux."
I'm taking what said, seriously: On the upside, you're saying this at your computer and not on the ledge of a 50 story condo. In plain English: It is impossible for your mind to think of two things at the same time. If you think your life sux you will own it and it will. If you feel your life sux, ask yourself "Compared to who else's life? Are you as bad off as a guy living in a steel tank because he can't breathe on his own? I'd bet he'd want to trade places with you right now. "Better living through chemistry." Call your doctor, mention Citalopram. Do what he says. It will turn your thinking and your life in the right direction. Do it!
I'm jealous. I only have 89 pipes and my landlord won't even let me have an ant, let alone a Capuchin. Ye Gadd's my fellow piper, they are sooooo expensive.I like smaller, flake pipes. I bought a Tekin in a small apple clencher that is all I smoke any more. 3-5 bowls per day. I had to band the stem, because I thought it looked weak. I'd sell all of my other pipes(130-140 pipes), except a few sentimental favorites... Everyone is different. Shape and size matter a great deal.
"Let's get back to pipes:" Gladly. I took what you said at your word and was concerned. I meant well. As toMan, really. Let's get back to pipes: better living through NATURAL chemistry.
I meant it. It's what it is. But I don't do doctors or meds: the one sux worse than my life (Canada: suxialist medicare), and the other kills your liver and destroys your kidneys and creates addiction that is nigh impossible to get rid of... all whilst purporting to "help" you. Typical Big Pharma and their "being in the business of 'life' ". No thanks. If I wanted the substance approach I'd rather buy a bottle of gin and get loaded: it's kinder to the liver than those BigPharma concoctions."Let's get back to pipes:" Gladly. "better living through NATURAL chemistry." Better still.
Well... you're right about everything you just said.I meant it. It's what it is. I appreciate your concern, though, and I thank you. But as in Dirty Harry, "don't concern yourself", mate.
I keep telling you you gotta get out of Ontario."...but the rowen mixed with weeds,
