I do wish the 6mm charcoal was slightly more open, maybe less charcoal would do it, always feel like I need to puff a little bit. 9mm is perfect, esp the Peterson Systems, they just flow so naturally, you close your mouth around it and smoke moves right in.
To be clear, I’ve only used the balsa inserts, not the charcoal filters.

I have both. I have 6mm in the Savinellis and the Barlings coming in at 9mm. I don't smoke filters but when I was trying them out I found the 9mm ones to be right. Need enough air to get through the filter. I also open the draw hole a bit but 6mm is a bit tight for me. As fun as that might sound...
