Why CE, I didn't know you were such a young buck. :)
Yep, just 44.
I notice you sometimes don other attire though, depending on the event.
One has to be prepared!
@Dave
Shhhhh! I'm still trying to forget that!

OK, OK, that's enough of that. Next you'll be wanting pictures of me with it. Trust me, a greased cantaloupe is not something you want to see, even on Halloween. Th' professor is much better.....

1/16th on the sides and a 1/8th tight at the top. Adjacent bi-fold mirror doors help. My hair is so thick I can't stand it when it gets much longer than 3/8". Winters might get allowances. (that's a winter photo in my avatar.)

I prefer traditional clean-cut á la 50ies grooming with using Brylcreem or Red crown hair waxes, outdated style?
So outdated its back in :puffy: Lots of young guys are getting traditional men's cuts now.
As you can see from my avatar pic, I like the traditional men's cuts, though I should clarify that my hair in my profile pic is as long as I let it get. My barber cuts it down on the sides using a number 2 guard, which is basically a long buzzcut, and fades it from my longer hair on top. I tend to go a little longer between cuts in the winter time.

Smoking causes short hair and hair loss Duane!
It says so in this article, so it must be true. https://www.belgraviacentre.com/blog/reasons-for-hair-loss-in-men-344/. Heck, we already knew this based on your post.

I guess some guys buzz it all off because they're going bald, which I never really understood. Personally, I think Ed Harris, Gavin MacLeod, Patrick Stewart, and many others look very distinguished with hair on the sides only. Not David Crosby, though. That desiccated hippie dirtbag nearly ruined the look for all men everywhere.

I remember that picture, Jay! It's from the condolence card he sent to the little girl whose transplant liver he stole. The piece of shit.

Here
Not wanting to step on toes. I googled each person you mentioned to see pics, and found it humorous that one popped up. I had forgotten about Cpt. Stubing.
We just watched 42 last night. Christopher Meloni (the guy from Law & Order SVU) was in it. He's another one who wears that cut well.

EDIT:
THIS one, I'm staying out of......

No toes stepped on, Jay. I just don't think that particular guy is a class act, and the photo was icing on the cake!

I tried growing out my hair after the army. By then, my growing forehead made me look like Gallagher.
Also, after the 7 years of military cuts, I no longer had patience for pate grooming. So, since about '95, I've always had more hair on my chin than my head.
In the summer, I shave about once a week whether I need it or not and I go all Grizzly Adams from about Halloween until spring.

I never plan on shaving my face again. Besides it being an exercise in futility, I look like a dork.
