Most of the codger blends have burley with a sweetish topping.
The hint of gingersnap cookie is within several of the burley's I've smoked, to varying degrees.
I've found that flavor in Amphora Burley, HH Burley Flake, Five Brothers,, ERR Match, SWR, etc.

Burley is not naturally sweet, that's why it's used a lot in casings because it acts like a sponge.
If you want a bit of sweetness, there's Mac Baren Navy Flake, Mac Baren Old Dark Fired (spicy but also slightly sweet), Peterson University Flake and Peterson 3P (Perfect Plug).

Right now I'm big on GLP Barbary Coast, which is cubed burley, red Virginia, Perique with a touch of brandy. It requires a few relights, but it is worth it to me, and it does have a sweetness wrapped in with lots of tobacco flavor.

Good call on the Barbary Coast! It has some sweetness, and offers some of that C&D Burley strength, though not as much as, like, OJK, Haunted Bookshop or Burley Flakes 1 or 3. If consider it to be a good after dinner smoke

Looking for a sweeter, after dinner, burley based tobacco. I grabbed Haunted Bookshop, Crooner, and Easy Times, and I think I'm not one for Latakia and want something that shows the sweeter side of burley if it has one. Additionally a strong nic hit would be great. Those 3 I mentioned I probably won't be buying again. Any recommendations?

Eight state burley isn't releasing again this year, but probably next year I'd imagine. Definitely recommend that when it does.

Since you’re looking for sweeter I’d recommend Watch City Deluxe Crumb Cut. Crooner kind of scratches the same itch but DCC gets my vote.

When I think of burley the first thing that comes to mind is Pegasus, but there are many others.

Pure burley, no sweetness, but quite good I thought.

So good I put up a WTB ad for some Les Bouchons but alas, I didn't have enough of a post count to make a WTB ad. So here I am...

Pegasus with a very small amount of BCA sprinkled in. The BCA sweetens it up, rounds off the slight bitterness and I find the end result absolutely delicious. Let it sit in a jar together for a few weeks.
