Welcome to the forum from Tasmania, Australia. All members get a label/badge upon joining and it changes with time and the number of posts you make, newbies are called Lurkers. As for the meerschaum question, no idea but I know the pipe you're thinking of, maybe someone else has some insight for you.

Hi Buck! I’m pretty sure that pipe is an actual antique. Maybe it was borrowed from a collector, I dunno.

Hiya, Buck.
Until proven otherwise, the admins here rightfully assume that new members are here for lewd and nefarious purposes. As you spend more time here, and post things that aren’t primarily pornographic or treasonous, you’ll be upgraded to “Mostly Harmless”, then “Allowed To Use Scissors”. Eventually, if you are very lucky, you might be elevated to “Can Be Trusted With Gerbils”. Only one forum member has ever reached that pinnacle, but sadly the honor was rescinded when it was discovered that he couldn’t.

Welcome! I love that movie but it's been a while since I've seen it and didn't remember him smoking a pipe. I looked up photos online but none clearly showed the pipe. Do you have a screenshot of a scene where the pipe is more visible?

I'm not a Lurker, but I am new. Let me know what I did to be called a Lurkee?
