I remember those and the candy Chesterfield Kings. When I was a kid our family would drive out to the "Old Fashioned Candy Store" in Olean NY. I always got a few of the black licorice pipes. They were about 4 inches long and shaped kinda like a Peterson Sherlock Holmes pipe.
I would have one in my mouth all the way home, it was an hour drive.
I'd eventually eat a couple, but then get yelled at 4 days later when I still had one stuck in my mouth....sticky and full of dog hair.![]()
They still exist. When I was a kid in the 1980s (in the UK) we used to buy cigarettes made of chocolate or candy. They used to sell the liquorice pipes, as well. It all got banned some years ago.
It's hilarious to me that things like this used to exist and everyone thought it was totally normal.

Wow, i'm shocked they haven't banned them. Over here they rebranded the candy ones so they didn't have red tips and all mentions of "cigarettes" were removed. Basically, they're just white candy sticks, these days. They still exist.
There are shops around here that sell the candy cigarettes.
