Well, if it is, that guy gives me the creeps. What a wuss!
Yes, politics aside, he had no spine whatsoever.

Thank you all for the gracious welcome!
Not perhaps the most auspicious moment for a NYC jaunt, but kcghost, you really should come back. As for the fabled Coney Island pizzeria Totonno's--yes! It did indeed reopen but seems to keep even more eccentric business hours than it did, and (to give a nod to the Dodgers and their betrayal), on my two attempts to visit the past couple of years, I struck out. But I promise to try again and will report back, mss489 about any framed restaurant reviews that have survived.
The southern end of Williamsburg (old factory building--once the proud home of LaRosa macaroni--opposite the navy yard) on the east river. You?Brooklyn here too! What neighborhood if I may ask?

No argument whatsoever with either of you with regard to the "real world." In the pipe world though--and particularly with respect to Dunhill in its heyday-- what a guy. For myself, I no longer aspire to one day having a bridge, a street, or airport, or even a local high school named after me. But I am hoping I might maybe swing a pipe and favorite smoking mixture. . .Well, if it is, that guy gives me the creeps. What a wuss!
Wonder if DiFara’s is open.
DiFara's--to which, alas, I've never been--is evidently alive, well, and flourishing. Not only have they opened a small boutique counter within a trendy food hall near me, but if your Jones is really serious, they've embraced the digital era, and at prices starting at just $89 (for two "classic" Neapolitian pies), they offer nationwide delivery!
I've always been fascinated with The Duke and would have enjoyed spending an evening with them. We enjoyed a Pizza at Juliana's and a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge just before the lock down in March. Junior's and Peter Luger's are favorite Brooklyn destinations of ours. ?
