First up...

On Rusties recommendation, trying some 1960's Kentucky Club in one of my grandfather's pipes, a 1960's Kaywoodie Fineline.

Vauna is trying out some Scarlet Begonia from Cosmic's Crop in a Buckeye pipe.

Both perfect right out of the bag!

Great choice, a true mid century experience. A 60's otc blend in a 60's drugstore pipe. As close an experience as what your grandfather had you will likely not find again 😌. The smell of KC takes me back to going to the VFW with my grandpa and the old guys playing cards and smoking codger burley.

I snagged a bowl of @cosmicfolklore Scarlet Begonias but I haven't smoked it yet, it smells great though.

I Hope some of the @cosmicfolklore home grown is still there when I get my turn!

I think that's why I chose to try the KC first. I have very fond memories of going to the drug store with my grandpa to pick up his tobacco, sitting on his couch watching the Astros & Oilers, and other activities while he enjoyed his pipe.

He passed 30 years ago. We were very close. This is a nice experience. Thank you all.

Enjoying a bowl of GH Brown Irish Twist, a blend I've wanted to try for a long time, in a short Peterson 80s. Phenomenal!!!

This will definitely be a blend I seek out for my cellar. Strong. Robust. Smooth. Flavorful. Absolutely everything I could want in a tobacco blend. I love it. Pairs perfectly with a cup of coffee.

Ok, so wait, what happens when it’s reached everyone on the list, or it just circles back around and comes back and ends up back where it started with you @RustiePyles CPG ?

Man, if that box grows in route, gonna cost me bloody $50 bucks to ship back to you Yanks in the Ole USA LOL 😆
I think once it hits the last person we should just reverse the order and send it back around
(Or until someone steals it 🤣)

The boss thought of that by packaging it in a flat rate box, but that only assumes everything can fit in that box. Let's throw off @RustiePyles CPG's planning by stuffing it so much that just can't fit in one box!

My bad, I wasn’t paying attention as a Flat Rate box. ;)

If we stuff it so much, we need the Jumbo Flat Rate! LOL 😆

Hey @TheIronMonkey you wanna design a USPS Jumbo Flat Rate box? LOL rotf

P.S. I just saw this, why you shouldn’t use Flat Rate hmm 🤔

The flat rate box was used to put a cap on the shipping the shipping cost. It was not the cheapest way to ship it though. I shipped it by weight/distance and it was substantially cheaper than the flat rate. I recommend you check the prices for both flat rate and ship by weight before you pay. Since there are no tins the box is actually not very heavy at all.

If the box is growing faster than its shrinking you guys need to step it up and smoke more... Your generosity will not go unpunished! nnnn

I was feeling guilty and didn't want to smoke too many samples. I certainly didn't want to take a whole pouch of something... Then I read this post and thought, I suppose that's what this is for. Besides, I'm adding far more than I'm taking for myself.

So the question is... How much Captain Black Grape do the rest of you fellas want? 🤣

At present I’m adding 6 blends, might be a few more by the time it arrives.

At the recommendation of @condorlover1 I opened up the Condor plug. I have was able to get some ready rubbed Condor in a pouch in Japan over a decade ago during a port call, but never had the opportunity to try out the plug.

I cut off a few slices and rested them for about ten minutes before rubbing out and loading up into one of my trusty cobs. A superb way to close out a long day.

It's stout and bold without being overpowering, just the way I like it. Make sure to try it out! (It should keep for a few more recipients)
