Welcome aboard from central North Carolina, U.S. Can't beat French pipes for always exceeding the price in quality. France is where briar became a/the principle tobacco pipe material. Many of the classic shapes were done there first.

Greetings from a French pipe smoker (collector, enthusiast, etc). Piping since 2009, in my mid-30s.

Strong affinity for French pipes i.e. BC, Chacom, Ropp, Genod and others but I do have some Savinelli, Big Ben, Brigham, meerschaum, cobs etc.

I have been looking at these forums periodically for some years now when seeking info on certain matters so a general thank you to the contributors and a special salutation for mso489 who reps the French pipes :)
Welcome from Virginia

Salut, from South Korea. Where kimchi is in abundance and pipe tobacco ain't!
When I was in Korea there was a shop in Seoul selling pipe tobacco called 'Lighter Time' .

I bought a load of tins, some were fine but others were mouldy and horrible I had to throw it away. Theres ageing tobacco and then theres just plain rotten.

P.s. I love kimchi :D

Some day, maybe, just maybe, they will erect a statue of you in St Claude.
