ESB is a nice blend. I don’t know of anything that reminds me of it. But I enjoy a few other burley blends that might be something to try: Solani ABF, Mac Baren burley flake, Amphora burley blend. McB symphony is nice. Haunted Bookshop and Old Joe Krantz are good, but a good bit stronger without the casing ESB has. A great VaBur I’ve never seen anyone mention is Low Country natural Virginia and burley- has enough burley to sort of fit.

Just beware the topping on BMP is waaaaaay heavier than on ESB. To me it falls within the category of an aromatic.

The casing isn't the same, nor the cut, but I definitely get PS Cube Cut vibes from 8State. I also think of Golden Extra. But, like I said, the casing isn't the same... just the vibe. `

I like VaBurs ... Three Nuns, Stonehaven, even something like Ennerdale.

According to my taste buds, two very close blends are:
-Warped The Red Hunt
-Cup O Joes 25th Anniversary
And, I haven’t tried it yet, but based on smell alone, I would also venture a guess that House Reserve 2022 is along the same vein.
All three of these are produced by Cornell & Diehl

To me Eight States Burley tastes like a cased or lightly topped Burley Oriental blend. The Orientals really shine for me, I can’t think of another Burley Oriental blend.

I don't believe there is much of a topping. Rather, I think the Red Virginia and Orientals harmonize nicely to create an unique sweetness and spice.
