That's one of my biggest issues with Altinay.

The case is an integral part of any good meerschaum. They don't like being tossed around unprotected like a workhorse briar. The little square case I seen in Breman pipe smokers video wasn't traditional but certainly wasn't a deal breaker either.

An ordinary case works and looks good, so that's all that I want.

The pouch I got from Altinay isn't to be compared with a pipesock. I do get a case with a Meerschaum is preferred, I have one with a case and wouldn't say no to a case with a meerschaum, but I don't miss it.

Does anyone have any experience with the Black Meerschaum Brand? They seem to have a good deal going on right now. Interesting fittings in they use briar at the mortise.

Kinda late to the game but I have a huge quarter bend Rhodesian from them. One of my best smoking pipes
