BJ Long Quality: Have You Noticed A Difference?

I am hereby resurrecting this thread to walk back my previous comments about BJ Long pipe cleaners being good to go.
I opened a new bag and so far I’m two for two on getting the stem clogged with lint even after giving the pipe cleaners a once over to pull off the “fuzzies.”
Here’s to damp lint in your mouth. ?

I think the quality of BJ Longs pipe cleaners goes up and down. I've become partial to White Elephants, though they're not cheap.

Over the years I've found BJ Long cleaners to be variable. For a while a couple of years ago they were putting out some really sorry scraggly specimens. The latest couple of purchases have been pretty good. No fuzz problems whatsoever. It does seem to be the luck of the draw.

I really like White Elephants but I’ve had quite a few where the wire is exposed at the end of the cleaner.

I’ve noticed this as well, particularly with the bristled cleaners.
