The Ashton Artisan is really close to Nightcap IMO
How about GLP Abingdon? Probably fuller than Nightcap...

I like PS Proper English a lot. I wasn't sure it was heavy duty enough for this thread, but it is delicious and substantial. Plus, my B&M carries it, and is a way to support it.

Full bodied? Probably Magnum Opus or Artisan's Blend?

Peteguy is the only one on track here, who knows where his priorities lie, and what is REALLY important in this life.
That can only get in the way of money, alcohol, and tobacco.

Exotique from Premel at Smokers Haven should scratch your itch for a heavy, tasty smoke.

If you're looking to go all in on an english blend and absolutely love Nightcap, why not just get Nightcap? It would be probably my favorite English blend and I've smoked enough, they're all kind of the same imo, just little differences here and there, but Nightcap is definitely very full bodied, and the perique adds that extra something. Also the status of Dunhill blends being up in the air if they'll be discontinued makes it a no brainer to me.

Smoked a tin of Exotique for the first time in decades right around Christmas. It should fill the bill nicely. Recently opened a bag of Margate, looks the same, but since it came on the damp side and I had a tin of Arcadia open, I jarred it. Cognac and Pembroke are, to my taste, very skillfully flavored versions of these. When I am smoking them,I actually think they are better.
It has been many many years since I smoked the Peretti English blends, but snowyowls opinion of them is consistent with my memory.

Andy, I see your point, and it's a good one. But I wanted to try something new, since I am fairly new to the hobby I'd like to see what's out there. But like you said, if Dunhill blends will be discontinued I'll be buying Nightcap by the pounds, it's by far the nicest blend I've smoked (not that they're many)!

Definitely non-aromatic, but probably not English, Old Joe Krantz pleases many pipe people, including me.

I know it's not an English English, but I have to add McClelland No. 5110 Dark English. If English is all you want, that's all this is. :puffy:
