MacBaren's Vanilla Cream Flake or Loose Cut always gets me compliments from the wife and everyone else.
vanilla. Blend for Cary Grant. Erinmore is a possiblity. Could go either way with that one. Brebbia Allegro got so many comments of how great it is from the ladies. C&D Corncob Pipe and A Button Nose is a great smelling cocoa blend gets lots of smiles from strangers. But if it's one specific lady ask them!
My wife had no problems with any of my blends. She preferred the Balkan Supreme I believe.
I've smoked codgers, straight Virginias, and a few aromatics around my wife. She's OK with them. The one that she *really* likes and always compliments is Solani 633.
I'd have to say any but I live with a tobacco thief even though she has her own cellar.
No ours here. She tries out what I've got out then buys a few pounds of whatever she likes.
functionally it's our cellar then. I'll put it this way if you get divorced she's getting at least 10 percent of "your" cellar.
Prenup says take what you brought.
lawyer says since she used it and it was bought after. All I am saying is marriage is a bad thing for cellars. You know at some point some member is going to have a non smoking life who gets half their cellar at some point. Like the guy I worked with who lost his pipes in his divorce. And no she didn't smoke.
I'll hold the cellar in escrow for you while the courts hash it out. I mean escrow takes a cut right?
Lawyer also says keep receipts. Yes, I've already asked a lawyer about tobacco. Marriage is fine but alcohol and tobacco are better.
though if he smokes a pipe watch out he'll find a way to waive the legal fees being in cash and get them in tobacco. Just something to watch out for. Which makes me wonder anyone got their cellar insured?
Now that I would be concerned about.
I know people who's cigar collections are covered under their home insurance.
Yeah that would stink.
Heck there was even a guy who insured his cigars against fire damage and made a claim when they got damaged by being smoked. I forget the outcome of that case.
I wonder with pipe cellars if it would work better to insure for dollar value (which would be hard to prove), or weight and volume. Like it gets damaged and you get new tobacco to cover what you had.
