Interestingly, my wife seems likes heavily latakia based tobacco smells because it reminds her of her dad and her grandpa.

I may not always know how much I've got but I know when what I've got is out of place. Plus I've caught her in my closet many times. She's just over 100 pounds with her cellar now.
Love it! I'm the same way and my youngest dog is the worst (or best as the case may be) --- walking through the house, the garage, outside in the yard --- the littlest thing is out of place and he's on high alert!

I once lit Peter Stokkebye Cube Cut in a room with two non smokers. One of them didn't see me do it and after a few seconds let out, "Why does it smell like s'mores poptarts in here all of a sudden?"

Why would you assume that? It's a reasonable question. Let's face it a lot of the tobacco we smoke that tastes wonderful but smells like we're smoking dried dog shit. The ladies don't tolerate that well. Just sayin
“Generally” most any aromatic with a either a cherry or vanilla flavor, or at least that’s my experience.
Going by what my wife, her cousin, and some of their friends say, either a mild English like Presbyterian or OTC-type blends like Sutliff RR Match or Walnut Match seem to elicit the most compliments. My wife doesn't hate the smell of fermented Virginias, but they apparently smell funky to her. Go figure, right?
