I've only met one so far that was, but it spoke very broken English so I politely excused myself. Most people think of cows, horses, or goats. Squirrels? Well, maybe a capybara if it was a good conversationalist.
By all means give it a try. I smoke it occasionally and enjoy it, but don't expect to venture beyond time and space like deathmetal. :wink:All the amusing Royal Yacht references I've seen around here have really motivated me to try it. The description sounds good to me, but the forum comments seem like this baccy is a bit polarizing. Maybe I'll pick some up sometime this summer.
Some of the best tobaccos are the most polarizing...Maybe I'll pick some up sometime this summer.
That's a good point. Royal Yacht is not a sweet Virginia, but a rich Virginia. It tastes closer to a Burley than say, Orlik Golden Sliced. And yet, it is a powerful Virginia worth reckoning with, a lot like Brown Twist Sliced or Straight Grain Flake. But, if the only Virginias you like are goldens or flakes, it will be nothing like what you expect.
Yep, I have always said it's a VA that smokes like a Burley. Love the stuff. It tastes closer to a Burley than say, Orlik Golden Sliced.
It usually is. In fact, the only time when Royal Yacht is not appropriate is when you are filling up the gas tank on your car. Then, it is dangerous to smoke, so let your wife borrow the car and she will do it.maybe it's time to sail the Yacht again for awhile
And the inverse, Semois, is a Burley which smokes like a Virginia... sort of. Both delicious.I have always said it's a VA that smokes like a Burley.
