I have many Missouri Meerschaum cobs that make their way into rotation from time to time, depending on the tobacco I have prepared. My oldest, a General fitted with a Forever Stem I purchased from Dave Wolff, is still a favorite I frequently enjoy Lat blends in.
I also have one of Riccardo Santia's bamboo shanked custom cobs, that is probably the driest smoking cob I own, although it is a little longer than I prefer a pipe to be.
Another custom cob I managed to acquire from Marilyn at Missouri Meerschaum, was one of Chris Morgan's CobWasp's. I love the look of the pipe, but since it is 1 of 100, I probably won't smoke it unless I can acquire another.
However, I am most fond of my Doug Erwin custom nosewarmer, which is based on the MM Washington. I've always been partial to shorter pipes, and Doug's nosewarmer cobs, are a perfect example of form following function.
