Best Most Clever Spammer Ever

I give this one an A+ for being the most clever spammer...until her email bounced back to me and her account got my attention.

I'm so impressed that I am taking the time to post this.

Username: SmokeBreak. Sounds legit for these forums.

That's A LOT of patience to stay off the radar until you appear to have been around for a while. Most spammers just spam right away.

For the first post, she replied to a post about grilling and BBQ and spoke on-topic while cleverly placing her spam link.

It got 6 reactions, but nobody saw or reported the spam, probably because of the pretty food pic that distracted them.




Then she doesn't do anything until October 24th without spamming. Patience and cleverness. SmokeBreak looks like a valid member for saying Happy Birthday.



Next post was Sunday October 27th. Staying on-topic in a "Going to Vietnam" thread while posting spam for "Tourism in Vietnam". She seems like she is a pipe smoker, and appears that she is being helpful.



I refer to SmokeBreak as "she" because her email address is sarah@contenflow.com.

There seems to be a typo in the domain, which is why it bounced. I have no idea how she could join with that email. She must have changed it after joining.

My favorite is still the $5000 Yoga Meditation Master class in Middle of Nowhere, India but alas it was deleted in a few minutes ! I suspected it from the start because it didn't say if you could bring pipes ! How can you meditate without pipes ???

I can guess what "banchan" means, but won't be sure unless someone who knows replies here!

I've come across a few spammers like this. They post a few random things like "I like pipe" or "smoke the pipe is a great!"

And then BAM spam

A VPN (virtual privacy network is a good thing to have. I've used NordVPN for years and love it because spammers and neer-do-wells can't track me. Research it a little and see if you could benifit from it too.

So far, I've used it only on public or semi-private networks.

My understanding of e-mail spamming is limited, but how does a VPN prevent spamming?
