Feel free to add to it if you come across another great opening line, but this one is just for the best line in a song, whether it is funny or thoughtful. Just don't post the whole song. That gets confusing.

My absolute favorite line is by John Prine...

Roosters laying chickens... chickens laying eggs... farm machinery eating people's arms and legs...

Just cracks me up, ha ha!!!
